Personal Introduction:

I am a freelance interpreter (English/Spanish) who lives in NYC. For the past twelve years I have been working for several agencies. I am a native Spanish speaker and am familiar with all regional variations. I am a US citizen.

I have a certificate from NYU in English to Spanish translation and a certificate from NYU in Medical Interpretation English/Spanish.

I have experience in simultaneous, consecutive and sight interpretation, but I prefer consecutive interpretation and sight translation when required.

Immigration, EUO, IME, EBT, PREP and other legal cases are my current assignments. I also do Interpreting assignments at schools; and I do on-site translations (English to Spanish).

I fully comply with all privacy and professional standards and I am always on time and well-dressed.

Because I have a car, I currently do assignments in Suffolk, Nassau and Westchester counties and the car allows me the flexibility to handle out-of-town assignments on short notice. To make the travel time supplement simpler to calculate, I have a list of locations and their corresponding ZIP codes with the total amount of travel (round-trip) compensation I charge. This amount includes tolls and miscellaneous charges such as parking.

Areas within an 80-mile radius of New York City, including Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and New Jersey counties
Arrangements can be made in advance for other locations

Travel time supplement:

This supplement is for round-trip travel and includes tolls and miscellaneous charges such as parking
Please contact me about the discount for the travel list.
Working hours are to be added to the travel compensation, and as is customary in the trade, there is a minimum of hours to be charged.
If there is a location that is not on the list, it will be similar to the surrounding zip codes.
